A Short Review of Sony Blu-ray Disc Players

The most inspiring thing about the Sony BDP-S360 is that it has a slim profile and a small footprint. There are not many controls found on the player, the design is simple, and the button layout is quite simple to navigate. This blu-ray player has the Profile 2.0 compliance allowing it to play some Internet exclusive features.

The BDP-S360 has an HDMI output port for outputting Blu-ray movies and can upscale the older DVD formats to the top resolution also. The BDP-S360 performed exceptionally well when playing Blu-ray titles and the picture quality is wonderful for an entry level Blu-ray player. It also doubles as a good quality DVD player. This particular Blu-ray player is a goodchoice for people who do not require any Internet streaming as the Ethernet port only connects to the BD-Live features.

The Sony BDP-S560 appears a lot more attractive than the remaining entry-level players. It is obviously one of the Top 10 Blu-ray players in the industry. It has a nice smooth black gloss exterior and some dark grey accents on the top and bottom. The USB port is neatly positioned on the bottom right, which is needed to play back slideshows from USB devices or downloading of BD-Live content.

This blu-ray player has many features like the full BD-Live streaming support allowing anyone having BD-Live Blu-ray titles to access scenes and games from the Internet. What distinguishes it from the other players is the built-in Wi-Fi support. This makes photo playback a lot simpler than the rest since it is probable to load any USB 2.0 compatible flash disk and load it up with pictures to playback the photos or just access the photos wirelessly using the WLAN rapidly and easily.
