There are lots of varieties of drug testing kits accessible; there are single cassette urine tests, which are sometimes used for cocaine testing, to test for cannabis and opiate testing etc. There are test cups which are used to test for lots of variations of drugs in one go, there are saliva (oral) tests which also tests for various forms of drug. There are also hair drug test which can test for many of drugs, unfortunately these are usually expensive and they cannot be done at home.
What can you do if you think a member of your family taking drugs?
Primarily it is crucial to have a discussion with them and speak to them about it, try to stay calm and make it clear that you are worried about their health. If they denies taking drugs but you still have reason to believe that they are, request that they do a drugs test to show they aren’t on drugs. However, if they take drugs they are unlikely to do it voluntarily and unfortunately the majority of drugs tests require the person’s cooperation. In this case it is best to get advice from an expert.
